Agenda

Change Bylaws

Changing the bylaws to remove the “Friends” language from the wording and to camouflage the name of the lake.  The definition of Steward has changed and the Friends language is deemed not necessary.  It is still suggested that a Steward attend at least half of the monthly Community Circles.  Friends language change was consensed.

New Schedule for Community Meetings

Sterling presented a tentative schedule for the 2009-2010 monthly meetings.  Some tweaking still is necessary and will be taken under review.  The concept of alternating Sundays and another day of the week was consensed.

Report on Land Purchase

The Circle has never consensed to buying the land but it has been in the discussion phase and consensus was reached to move forward with gathering information about the feasibility.  Also, there was consensus on fundraising towards the land purchase.  Discussed other fundraising opportunities (garage Sale, something at the Saloon, etc.)  The next land purchase meeting is Wed October 28, 7pm @ Lily of the Valley of the Dolls  house)

Wolf Nip brought up the question of reminders for the personal pledge made at the Ladies Who Launch.  There has been discussion at Land Purchase Circles about sending out thank-you's to those who have already sent in funds and potentially sending out email reminders.

Steward Announcements

Wolf Nip announced he would like to be a Steward.

Report on Woodcutters

It snowed.  Everything got put away.  There is not enough wood for someone to stay up there for more than 1 day (if the weather is below zero).  A few trees had fallen after Woodcutters (as reported by Snake) and had to be removed from paths and trails.

New Post Office Box

Rocky investigated the concept of changing the PO box to a location in downtown mpls.  The background check came back good and Rocky will continue to move forward with this action.

Financial Report

Ehsea emailed a financial report to White Ash.  Financial report was reviewed and we will get more clarification from Ehsea at the next Community Circle.
