Gathering
Miracle announced that nine people have registered so far. A few of those people
have requested rides. Most of the ride assignments will take place a week or
so before the Gathering.
Someone
is still needed to handle the ice situation. One suggestion is
to ask at dinner circles if someone would be willing to be the
Ice Queen for the following day. Then one person wouldn’t have the responsibility for
the entire Gathering.
- Land
Update
The lawn has been mowed and the valves at the pump and on Lola/Trixie have
been replaced. These valves froze up and cracked over the winter. Word
has it that the stove is still working.
Stella
is going to make two picnic tables for the lake-side of the cookhouse
starting the Thursday before Gathering.
- Call-Grrlz
Update
The first of the calls, heading overseas, in the mail on June 15th. The
last of the calls were in the mail Friday June 24th.
- Momming
Meals
Augury has offered to host a meeting on Saturday (July 9) regarding food
prep for the gathering and it has been requested that the sink be set up in
the kitchen for the Gathering. It is unknown when it was moved, because
Ehsea used it over the Memorial Day weekend when she was there.
- Land
Instructions
Stella suggested that we type or write up instructions to post up around
the various locations on how things work: pump, lola/trixie, stove. This
would aid those who haven’t been up on the land before to know what to do
to get those things working if no one is around to ask. The end of the
year duties would also be a good idea to have printed up.
- Shower
Instructions
Two Bears saw the drawings at the Birchwood and liked the idea of the floor
being rough enough to not get slippery when wet. Snake liked the design,
especially the dressing area, but was curious about the roof being made of
corrugated plastic. E! posed the following question: Is there an
individual or folks interested in being the fore-persons to build the
shower? He would be willing to help out but doesn’t want to champion the
project. Snake offered to be the head-honcho. Some of the building
supplies needed are already up at Kawashaway: Pavers, gravel, 4x4s. E!
and Snake will communicate together to make up a list. The Stewards agreed
to approve up to $1K amt for the shower replacement.
- Bylaws
The meeting that was held to discuss changes to the bylaws went well, but
there hasn’t been much response from the online group since. One of the
main things that needs to get done is to have a notice go out to
stewards/friends 31 days before the consensus circle that will include the
changes listed in the last circle notes.
